Methodology
The three labels you'll see
Every claim on this site is marked with one of three labels. They sit right on the page, not buried in a terms-of-use link, so you always know what kind of ground you're standing on.
- ConfirmedOfficial: stated by Rockstar in a trailer, on the Newswire, or on the official site.
- RumorRumor: unverified claims circulating in the community, always flagged as such, never presented as fact.
- SpeculationOur own analysis and theories. Written so it reads as our read on the evidence, not a claim about it.
Verification
A fact goes up only with a source attached. A label only moves to Confirmed once that source is Rockstar itself: a trailer, an official post, the Newswire, the storefront listing. Third-party reporting, however reliable, stays at Rumor until Rockstar confirms it directly.
Corrections policy
Things change before launch, and we get things wrong sometimes too. When that happens we fix the page in place with a visible update note, we don't quietly delete it and pretend it was never there. Every article carries a Last updated date so you can see when it last changed.
Map data
Base map: YANIS v13, a community reconstruction published in the GTA VI Community Mapping Project (Discord). Full contributor list — pending.
Landmark data: gtadb.org contributors, licensed CC BY 4.0. We do not host leaked assets or leaked footage. Landmark positions are derived from public trailers and official screenshots; speculative areas are marked as such.
Locations that don't yet have a confirmed name are shown on a separate, off-by-default layer ("Unnamed landmarks") rather than mixed in with identified ones.
AI-realistic comparison layer: the optional "Realistic view" slider is our own AI-assisted interpretation of the YANIS V13 community map, credited to its original author — not a reconstruction of GTA VI itself. The coastline, road network, airport layout, and lake are inherited from the schematic base map above and are trustworthy to that same degree. Every building, texture, and piece of urban detail in that layer is generated by an image model and imagined; none of it reflects actual game content. The layer is off by default, marked with a permanent on-screen disclosure whenever it's active, and loads no data until you turn it on.
One canonical date
GTA VI releases November 19, 2026. That's the one date this entire site treats as settled. Anything that contradicts it, on this site or anywhere else, gets corrected.
