Bank of America analysts expect GTA 6 Online and the PC version of GTA 6 to arrive in the first quarter of 2027, between January and March, a few months after the game comes out on consoles on November 19, 2026. In their view, GTA Online is one of the main drivers of Take-Two’s growth from here on. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has named a date for either.

Why this lines up with what we already know
This is the third time the same window has come up from a different direction. On October 13 GamesBeat reported, citing four sources, that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027; everything about that report and Rockstar’s history with PC ports is on our GTA 6 PC release date page. In September Twitch’s CEO told Bloomberg he expects GTA 6’s multiplayer in 2027, after his team had spent a lot of time talking with Rockstar; we covered that in our Twitch CEO news. Now a bank that follows Take-Two closely puts both in the same three months.
It’s possible both launches will happen in the same period, but there’s no confirmation of that. For Take-Two the timing makes sense on paper: January to March is the last quarter of its fiscal year, which ends on March 31, so a PC release and the start of Online there would land in the same financial year as the console launch.
Why Online matters so much
GTA Online is the reason GTA V has kept selling for more than a decade. Shark Cards, updates and a huge player base turned a single-player game from 2013 into a business that still pays. That’s why analysts treat GTA 6 Online as a key factor for Take-Two’s future revenue, and it sounds logical: the console launch is the big one-off moment, while Online is the long tail. What we know about the mode so far, from lobby sizes to roleplay, is on our GTA 6 Online page.
As a technical artist, I can see why PC and Online might travel together. Both need the same kind of extra work after launch: server infrastructure, anti-cheat, a lot more hardware configurations to test. Doing that once, in one window, is cheaper than doing it twice. It also means console players would have a few months of the story to themselves first. GTA V went a different way: Online followed two weeks after launch, and PC took a year and a half.
