By The pink alligator with the martini finally has merch. On September 24 Rockstar opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a black collector’s box styled after Macca the Gator, the star of Leonida’s in-game TV show. It ships from November 19, launch day, in limited quantities, and it costs $399.99. The game is not in it.
Eleven things are:
- a 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a twist-open stash compartment in the base
- matte black Oakley® Frogskins™ sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a pink GTAVI logo
- a New Era® 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embroidery and appliqués
- a Macca the Gator magnetic mirror in pink glass
- a Vice City swizzle spoon
- a razor-blade keychain with embossed GTAVI and Vice City logos
- a Leonida Keys ripstop crossbody bag
- a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- nine Leonida Keys enamel pins in a custom metal tin
- nine vinyl stickers in a stash bag
- a double-sided souvenir poster, characters on the front and the full Leonida map on the back
That last line is the one worth reading twice. Rockstar has not published a map of Leonida anywhere yet — An Extended Look came and went without one — and the store page promises “a full view of the Leonida map” on the back of a 36-by-26-inch poster. If that poster is what it says, the first official map of the state arrives in a merch box, on the same day everyone starts playing. I would put money on the fan mappers grabbing a copy purely to check their work.

Pre-orders run “while supplies last” on the Rockstar Store, with the box shipping from November 19. Asia, Latin America and Australia are listed as “details to come,” so if the store shows “not available in your region,” that is why. Rockstar also says more GTA VI apparel and collectibles are on the way; the alligator is just the first through the door.
Is it worth four hundred dollars? Not to me, and I say that as someone who bought the vinyl on the first day. The sunglasses are real Oakleys and the cap is a real New Era, so the licensing alone explains a chunk of the price, and the figure with the hidden compartment is a genuinely good object. But the editions already put every in-game bonus in the $79.99 and $99.99 tiers, so this box is for the shelf, not for the save file.
