The game ships in a box with a download code and no disc; the soundtrack is the part of this release you can actually hold. The other 27 are unannounced. Judging by these seven, the full list is being assembled the way a radio dial is: trap next to country next to French house next to a Rolling Stone. Rockstar has been letting them out in waves since mid-September, so the rest should surface before the record does. Editions
Five physical versions come from the official store, and they differ by more than the price tag. The limited, splatter and CD editions wear an alternate cover, the logo in chrome over a neon car body; the standard vinyl and standard CD keep the Jason and Lucia art.
- Limited liquid-filled vinyl — two clear magenta discs with blue liquid sealed inside them, $124.98 / €123.99. Sold out within minutes of preorders opening and has not come back.
- Splatter vinyl — a 2LP set, clear magenta with a blue splatter, $49.98 / €51.99.
- Standard vinyl — two standard-weight black discs, $49.98.
- CD — two discs in a jewel case with a booklet, $19.98 / €16.99.
- Standard CD — the same two discs and booklet with the Jason and Lucia cover, $19.98.
- Digital — nothing to hold, but pre-saves are open on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music.
On top of those, individual retailers get their own vinyl colours: Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, Blood Records and a run of independent shops. Same 34 tracks, different plastic.
Release date
The album arrives digitally on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game. The records are a separate date: Rockstar lists physical copies as shipping from November 20, one day later. So the soundtrack reaches your ears before it reaches your shelf — you’ll be driving down Ocean Drive with the in-game radio on while the mailman is still carrying your copy.
What’s not revealed yet
Twenty-seven track titles and the running order. Whether the liquid-filled pressing gets a second run. Whether Europe and the UK get retailer exclusives of their own or only the official store. And the one I keep coming back to: which of these songs ends up on which station — an album is a list, radio is a dial, and the mapping between them is the whole game.
