Ambrosia is the region that proves Leonida is a state, not a beach: an inland company town in the agricultural heart of the map, built around the Allied Crystal sugar refinery. Rockstar’s framing is sharp — old American industry still calls the shots here: the refinery provides the jobs, and the local biker gang provides most of everything else.
What’s confirmed
Official screenshots deliver the whole iconography: smokestacks over cane fields, burning harvests, heavy trucks, crop dusters, a biker convoy rolling through town, and dive bars that serve the end of a shift rather than a tourist itinerary. On the map, Ambrosia sits between Mount Kalaga’s forests and the Grassrivers wetlands — the working interior connecting the state’s wild north to its swampy south.
Why a sugar town matters
Real Central Florida is shaped by exactly this economy — company towns around refineries at the edge of the Everglades, with all the labor politics and insularity that implies. For mission design, an industrial landscape of rail sidings, cane fields and crop-duster airstrips is new terrain no previous GTA setting has had; a truck fleet and airstrips also make purpose-built cover for moving contraband up from the coast. And of course “one employer owns the town, the MC — the motorcycle club — runs the rest” is a Rockstar satire target sitting in plain sight.
The visual references are hard to miss. The press shot below — a biker pack strung out along a two-lane highway, club patches on their backs — sits in exactly the same register as Sons of Anarchy: formation riding, a small town that lives or dies by one employer. Anyone who liked the biker stretches of Days Gone will recognize the mood too, minus the apocalypse. Either way, November can’t come soon enough — we’re ready to sink into a proper biker story.
