The Album is what plays on the radio. The score is what plays when you're the one being chased.

What Pusher is

Pusher is a seven-minute piece, long even by Justice’s standards, made with Gesaffelstein, the French producer known for his dark, heavy techno and his work with Kanye West and The Weeknd. It’s the second track from the score after Flower in a Hurricane, the song from the Launch Trailer. Of everything Rockstar has released so far, it sounds the most like a soundtrack for a chase rather than a radio single.

A score that follows the player

This is the important part. The score isn’t a playlist. Rockstar describes it as dynamic: the tracks change depending on what you do in the world, so the music rises in a firefight and drops back when you lose the police. In GTA V Rockstar did this with a separate mission score; in GTA 6 Justice wrote over three hours of it. Justice, a Grammy-winning duo, took on all of it.

The Original Score is a separate record from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The Album is 34 songs from different artists that play on the radio and comes out on November 19, the same day as the game; the score is Justice’s own music for the game and arrives three weeks later. Both records and the radio stations are on our soundtrack page.

Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice on clear triple vinyl: the opened gatefold sleeve with Jason and Lucia and the neon cross, and three transparent records

Which edition to get

The black triple vinyl at $55 is the standard version. The clear one at $60 is the collector’s choice: in the US it’s sold as an exclusive in independent record shops, with a limit per customer. The double CD at $30 is the cheapest way to own it physically. All three share the same gatefold sleeve: Justice on the inside, Jason and Lucia under the neon cross, and the pink-violet VI on the front.

As a technical artist I like that the sleeve doesn’t reuse the game’s key art. The cross is Justice’s own symbol, and here it’s lit like a sign on Ocean Drive. If you already have the vinyl of The Album, this one sits next to it as a matching pair.
