Dre’Quan Priest is a confirmed supporting character in Grand Theft Auto VI and the engine of its music-industry storyline. Rockstar’s one-line summary calls him “always more of a hustler than a gangster” — a dealmaker rather than a soldier. In GTA’s narrative tradition, gangsters survive sideways while dealmakers climb, and Dre’Quan is built to climb.

A street past and a music dream

Per the official material, Dre’Quan dealt on the streets to make ends meet, with bigger plans always in view. That origin gives him something rare in a GTA cast: a sincere dream, pursued with methods the dream can’t quite afford to look at. The gap between the two is a story engine Rockstar barely needs to wind up.

His vehicle is Only Raw Records — his own label, backed by Vice City fixture Boobie Ike, whose studio and connections give the operation its infrastructure. The label’s marquee signing is Real Dimez, the viral rap duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, and the official copy makes his ambition explicit: past strip-club bookings, toward the entire Vice City scene.

The music storyline is the most fleshed-out narrative thread Rockstar has revealed before launch — three connected character pages (Dre’Quan, Boobie, Real Dimez) all orbit it. The franchise has touched the record business before, but never with a dedicated cast built around it from day one. Whatever role Lucia and Jason play in Vice City, this scene is clearly one of the doors in. That door is already on screen: Trailer 2 frames Dre’Quan and Jason together, and An Extended Look has him greeting both leads with a hug.

Possible story role

• The scene-builder. Expect missions orbiting promotion, studio time and protecting Real Dimez’s rise — the business of music in a city where business means leverage.
