GTA 6 Trailer 2 — Captured on PS5

Rockstar’s second trailer, released May 6, 2025 — 17 months after the first — captured entirely on PS5 hardware, not a pre-rendered cinematic.

What it showed

• A much deeper look at Lucia and Jason’s relationship and how the two protagonists operate as a pair, after a fairly quiet first trailer for Jason specifically.
• Vice City nightlife, crowds, and street-level detail — a big jump in NPC density and behavior over Trailer 1.
• More of Leonida’s wildlife: flamingos in the swamp shallows and a green iguana ambling up to Jason’s porch.
• The then-confirmed May 26, 2026 release date — the first delay from the original Fall 2025 target (the date later moved once more, to November 19, 2026).

Locations confirmed

• The Keys safe house — Jason and Lucia’s hideout, and the trailer’s opening location. Establishes the Leonida Keys as the pair’s home base outside Vice City.
• The Keys Causeway & Coast Guard station — an island-hopping highway with a Coast Guard post beside the bridge; Peacock Bay and Southside are visible in the same shot.
• Sinfrontera National Bank — vault footage from a robbery, the clearest heist staging shown to date.
• Keys Marina & Pier — waterfront bars and boats, a quieter, lived-in side of Leonida.
• Brian’s seaplane hangar — ties named character Brian Heder to a specific smuggler-country location.
• Interstate 97 — site of the trailer’s explosion set piece, staged on the same coastal artery Trailer 1 introduced.
• Dominion Hotel — a named beachfront hotel on the Ocean Drive strip.
• Ocean View Hotel — a direct callback to the original Vice City’s classic safehouse location.
• Venetian Islands — reconfirms the bay islands first shown in Trailer 1, tying the two trailers’ geography together.
• Daiquiri Republic — a swamp-country watering hole.
• Mariana County — on-screen signage confirms the county name covering the Keys region.
• Leonida Penitentiary — Lucia’s prison recurs; staff name badges in this trailer confirmed its name.

Why it mattered

This was the first time the public saw the game actually running on the hardware it will ship on, not a curated cinematic.
