Rockstar has officially named six regions of Leonida, each with its own page on the GTA VI site. Around them sits a second layer — districts and landmarks named in official descriptions and trailers — and a third layer that gets quoted just as confidently but comes from fan cartography, not Rockstar. This page keeps those three layers apart.

The Six Official Regions

This is the complete official list — the safest set of names to build any GTA 6 conversation on. What each region actually is, and how it maps onto real Florida, lives on the pages linked below.

Named Places Inside the Regions

Port Gellhorn — official Rockstar press art

The confirmed layer runs deeper than six region names:

Smaller venues — nightclubs, dive bars, motels, beaches, the penitentiary — are tracked separately on the Points of Interest page.

One precision worth keeping: Rockstar never writes “Florida” or “Miami” in official materials. The parallel is obvious on every screen, but the words are the community’s, not the studio’s.

Where Confirmed Ends and Fan Maps Begin

The mapping community has labeled far more than Rockstar has named. Counties are the clearest example: the synopsis names Vice-Dale County and says there are “several,” so the rest exist — but Leonard, Kelly and the county lines drawn between them are fan work, not official geography. Same for towns like Hamlet, Yorktown, La Perie and Gloriana, plus a map-area figure that circulates as if it were published. That work is impressive and often well-argued — built from trailer frames and coordinate analysis — but it belongs to a different category than the six official region pages. It’s reconstruction, and parts of it will shift when Rockstar publishes the official map — An Extended Look came and went without one.

FAQ

What locations are confirmed in GTA 6?
Six regions with official Rockstar pages: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park — plus named districts like Ocean Beach and Little Cuba and landmarks like Lake Leonida.

Are the county names in GTA 6 official?
One is. Rockstar’s synopsis names Vice-Dale County and mentions “several counties,” but never names the others — Leonard, Kelly and the county lines drawn on fan maps are community work.

Which Vice City districts has Rockstar named?
Five: Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, the Tisha-Wocka flea market, VC Port and Southside. Vice Beach, quoted just as often, is a community name — see the districts page.

How many cities are in GTA 6?
One major city is confirmed — Vice City. Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia are settlements with their own identities, but neither is presented as a second metropolis.

Has Rockstar confirmed a map size?
Rockstar has published no figure. The widely quoted number is a community estimate from trailer analysis — details on the Florida map page.

Why don’t official materials say “Florida” or “Miami”?
Rockstar writes neither word. The state is Leonida and the city is Vice City; the real-world parallel is obvious on screen, but those two names come from the community, not the studio.

Everything here comes from official Rockstar materials. Analysis is labeled. We don’t publish leaks.
