A real American football for GTA 6’s in-game team has turned up in photos: the Vice City Manatees ball, teal with white laces, the team logo on one side and “Manatees” in script on the other. The name isn’t new. “Manatees football” was already in the Rockstar Store listings fans found on September 24, next to a basketball. Now we know what it looks like, and I rebuilt it in 3D from the photo, so you can spin it at the top of the page.
What the photos show
The ball is the full-size American football shape, with a pebbled surface like a real game ball. Here’s what’s on it:
- a teal body with white laces and pink stitching around the lace panel;
- the team logo: a manatee in a white helmet with “VC” on it, inside a black spiked ring with a pink circle;
- the VI logo on the left of the badge and the Rockstar R* on the right;
- “Manatees” in black-and-pink script on the opposite panel.
A second photo shows printed packaging sheets for Manatees socks: teal, with the same logo, the word “SOCKS” and two sizes, S/M and L/XL. Socks weren’t on the September list, so the store has more coming than the API showed.
Who the Manatees are
The Vice City Manatees are the city’s football team in GTA 6, Rockstar’s take on the Miami Dolphins. Same aqua, but pink where Miami has orange, and a manatee instead of a dolphin. You’ve already seen their shirt: Dre’Quan Priest wears a Manatees jersey with the number 19 in Trailer 2.
Manatees are all over GTA 6. They swim in Leonida’s waters (see wildlife), the $399.99 collector’s box has a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, and now the animal is a football mascot too.

Why I like this one
Most game merch is a T-shirt with a logo. This is a thing from inside the game world that works the same way outside it: a ball is a ball, and you can actually play with it. Rockstar has done this with in-game brands for years, and a fake team’s gear is the best version of it. Wear a Manatees cap to a real game in Miami and half the stadium won’t notice it isn’t the Dolphins.
There’s no price and no release date yet. Rockstar hasn’t announced the ball. My guess is it reaches the store with the rest of the merch before November 19. When it does, I’ll be the guy throwing a teal ball in the park.
