GTA 6 hasn’t shipped, so there is no complete vehicle list — this page tracks every car, bike, boat, and aircraft Rockstar itself has shown across trailers and official press screenshots, sourced photo by photo. Named vehicles (mostly from the Ultimate Edition and Vintage Vice City Pack) come first.
How Many Vehicles Are in GTA 6?
Fan trackers cataloguing official trailers, screenshots, and press material have counted over 200 distinct vehicles so far — cars, bikes, boats, aircraft, and utility vehicles.
For context: GTA V launched with a far smaller day-one garage and grew past 700 vehicles over a decade of Online updates. Even by conservative counting, GTA 6’s launch roster is the deepest in series history, and An Extended Look put more of it on screen.
One fidelity leap is confirmed across the board: vehicles have fully modeled, interactive interiors — working gauges and speedometers, real-time rearview mirrors, adjustable seats and steering wheels. Trunks work too: a spare outfit and a couple of guns in the back are what get you out of a wanted level. Each character can own several personal cars, kept at their safehouses, and mod shops let you rebuild them.
The way they drive changed too. Creators who played three hours of the demo describe a return to GTA 4’s weight — cars carry mass into a corner instead of snapping around it — without giving up top speed, so a chase stays fast while asking more of you than GTA 5 ever did.
Getting into someone else’s car is a system of its own now. Cars are tiered — the expensive ones are harder to open — and the WAINK phone app scans a parked one for its value, registration cost, lock, alarm and tracker before you touch it. Old cars go quietly with a slim jim; prestige models need a key cloner you earn later in the story. Some vehicles call the police if you drive them too slowly. Keeping one is a separate step: parking a stolen car doesn’t make it yours, you register it for a fee, and WAINK shows that cost next to the resale price. Boosted cars also have to have their trackers pulled before a fence will touch them. The money side of all this lives in the story money guide.
Fuel is a system now too. From press previews Refueling is done by hand: step out at a station, hold the button for around ten seconds and watch the animation and the counter. Running the tank dry mid-mission doesn’t fail it — it hands you an improvisation problem at the worst possible time.
There’s a longer arc behind the customization side. Los Santos Customs gave the series a garage; ten years of Online turned it into a culture — Benny’s, tuner meets, drift builds, a whole economy of parts. All of that lived in multiplayer. Vice City is the first single-player map handed that culture as its native setting, with the street racing and the coastline already built for it.
Two more confirmed names worth knowing: the Vapid Creado, Jason’s personal car and the only brand-new car Rockstar has officially named before launch, and the Principe Alvino V1, the first new motorcycle to get an official name (more on it in best cars).

Motorcycles
Motorcycles appear throughout official press screenshots, from Port Gellhorn dirt bikes to Vice City street bikes.
Bicycle
A rider on a bicycle spotted in Vice City street footage in Trailer 2 — possibly a nod to the classic GTA San Andreas, and fans are wondering whether cycling makes it into the game.
Boats
Boats and yachts shown in official screenshots — airboats through Grassrivers and boats around the Leonida Keys — beyond the named Shitzu Squalo below.
Shitzu Squalo
Edition exclusive
The Shitzu Squalo speedboat is part of the Ultimate Edition marina lineup, continuing the Squalo name from earlier GTA titles.
The Airboat — a Brand-New Vehicle Type
GTA 6 introduces the airboat (fanboat) — a flat-bottomed, fan-propelled swamp craft that has never appeared in a GTA game. It exists for one reason: the Everglades-inspired Grassrivers wetlands, where regular boats can’t operate in shallow water.
Three models are identifiable in official footage: the Panther, the Airboat 09 from the in-game brand Airgator Airboats (Trailer 2 — it’s the boat the Buzzard chases through the Grassrivers at 2:18), and the Diamondback. Full breakdown on the Grassrivers page.
This is a good example of the map shaping the garage: a state-sized Leonida with a giant wetland region needs a wetland vehicle class.
Helicopter
A helicopter spotted in official press screenshots over Mount Kalaga.
Military Helicopter
An armed, military-style helicopter shown chasing a vehicle through the Grassrivers wetlands in Trailer 2 — by all appearances a separate, gunship-style model.
Police Helicopter
A police helicopter joining an ocean pursuit in Trailer 2 — going by the series’ past games, this is the wanted system’s tactical air support.
Aircraft
A fixed-wing aircraft spotted in official Vice City press screenshots.
Seaplane
A seaplane/floatplane spotted in an official Leonida Keys press screenshot — fitting for an island chain connected mainly by water and a causeway.
Other Cars
Police Vehicles
Trailer 1 shows Vice City police running a mixed fleet: a classic patrol sedan alongside a modern police SUV. The community reads them as a Ford Crown Victoria and a Ford Police Interceptor Utility — fan identifications, like every real-car match below. A classic patrol sedan plus its modern SUV successor fits a state-sized map spanning dense city and open country. How pursuits actually work — stars, response, escapes — is covered in our Police & Wanted System guide.
Community-Identified Real Cars
The community has matched several trailer vehicles to real-world cars, frame by frame. Important: the in-universe names below are fan identifications.
| Real car | Community ID | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chrysler 300 (2nd gen) | Schyster PMP 700 | The most-discussed Trailer 1 vehicle; read as the successor to GTA IV’s PMP 600 |
| Cadillac Seville SLS | Albany Primo Custom | Identified as a returning GTA V vehicle |
| Pininfarina Battista | Grotti Furia | Night highway shot; returning from GTA V |
| Chevrolet Malibu | Declasse Tulip M-100 | Shown on oversized wheels — indirect evidence mod shops return |
| Chevrolet Suburban | Albany Cavalcade (?) | Genuinely unsettled — read both as a new Cavalcade and as an entirely new model |
As always, GTA 6 uses parody brands (Vapid, Grotti, Pegassi, Declasse, Schyster…), never licensed real manufacturers — the same approach as every mainline GTA.
