When exactly does GTA 6 unlock?

Two signals, two answers. PlayStation Store listings unlock per region at local midnight, which would mean New Zealand plays first and the US West Coast last. The Xbox listing shows 18 November at 10 PM Mountain Time — midnight Eastern — which would be a single global unlock, with Europe starting in the early hours of the 19th and Asia in the afternoon. Preload and the pre-order clock

Rockstar announced preload for 12 November alongside pre-orders, a week before launch, and physical boxes go on sale that same day with a download code rather than a disc — so the box preloads too. The Vintage Vice City Pack, the 80s outfits and the two-tone Stanier, goes to any purchase before 20 November, not only pre-orders.

What’s still to come before launch

The big reveal is behind us. An Extended Look ran 27 minutes on 27 August and answered most of what the calendar was waiting on — how the wanted system works, what you do with a day in Leonida, and how the game runs: 1440p and 30 fps on a base PS5.

Three things are still outstanding. Preload opens on 12 November. The trophy list goes live with the game. And the PC version has no date at all yet. Between them, the usual Rockstar cadence points to a short launch trailer in the final weeks — unannounced, but the studio has never skipped one.
